The best time of year to book a gig in London

Timing affects a gig more than most people factor in, in terms of light and in terms of who else is also trying to book that week.

Longer daylight hours through spring and summer give more flexibility for outdoor locations, while autumn and winter shift things toward earlier sessions or studio-based setups. Demand shifts too.

None of this rules a gig out at any time of year. It just changes the plan.

FAQs

Straight answers below.

Can you shoot in low light without flash?
Yes, that is most of the job. Gigs and small venues get shot available-light wherever possible, so the atmosphere stays intact instead of getting flattened by flash.

Can you deliver images the same night?
For time-sensitive releases, yes. A small batch of selects can be edited and sent while the gig is still going, with the full set following after.
