Two broad approaches sit behind most branding sessions: traditional, which prioritises clarity and consistency, and editorial, which goes after mood and story instead, often at the expense of a bit of that uniformity.
Traditional suits situations where the images need to look uniform or straightforwardly professional. Editorial suits situations where personality and atmosphere matter more.
Neither is objectively better. The right choice depends entirely on what the images are for, and that’s worth raising before a branding session is booked, not after the style has already been picked for you by default.

FAQs
Straight answers below.
How is this different to a headshot?
A headshot is one image for one purpose. A branding session builds a whole visual identity: portraits, candids and detail shots that work across a website, socials and press together.
How many images do we end up with?
A half-day session typically delivers 20 to 30 retouched images, a full day 40 to 60. The full proofing gallery is reviewed first, then the final retouch list is chosen.
